Top 5 Gyms & Studios in My Summer Rotation (2026)
Lauren Santos · June 7, 2026

As someone who's been in the fitness industry for nearly a decade, people are constantly asking me where I work out when I'm not coaching.
The truth is, I don't believe there's one perfect gym.
Different spaces serve different purposes. Some are where I go to get stronger. Some challenge me mentally. Some remind me why I fell in love with movement in the first place. And some are simply where I know I'll leave feeling better than when I walked in.
This summer in LA, these are the five gyms and studios that have earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
1. Bunda | Woodland Hills
If you've followed me for any amount of time, this one probably won't surprise you.
Bunda has become my go-to for strength training—especially lower body work. The programming is smart, simple, and every workout feels intentional.
What I appreciate most is that it removes the guesswork. I can walk in, focus on the work, and leave knowing I challenged myself.
As someone who's spent years coaching others, I still love being in a group setting where I can work and vibe simultaneously. Bunda gives me that.
Why it's in my rotation: Simple programming. Building strength.
Best for: Anyone looking to get stronger in a structured, results-driven environment.

2. CAMP LA | Venice
CAMP is special because it's more than a workout.
It's community, energy, music, movement, and a little bit of controlled chaos in the best way possible.
I teach here, because I genuinely enjoy taking classes here. Whether it's Pilates, Lift, Yoga or Circuit there's something about the atmosphere that makes you want to show up. And not to brag but the coaches are TOP TIER.
In an industry that's become increasingly transactional, CAMP still feels human.
Why it's in my rotation: Great workouts, incredible people, and an environment that reminds me fitness should be fun.
Best for: Someone who wants a challenging workout without taking themselves too seriously.

3. Be Kind Studios | Calabasas
Every rotation needs balance.
For me, Be Kind is where I slow down.
The studio has this calming energy that feels almost impossible to find in Los Angeles. And it's CUTE AF. In a world full of Lagree, this revisits the core of pilates for me. The classes challenge you, but they don't drain you.
It's one of those places where you walk in carrying stress and walk out wondering why you were stressed in the first place.
Why it's in my rotation: Recovery, mobility, mindfulness, and movement that supports everything else I do.
Best for: Anyone looking to for a coffee and chill vibe alongside a great class.

4. Grampas Boxing | Orange County
I've spent a lot of my career in boxing gyms, and Grampas has something that's becoming harder and harder to find: authenticity. (And it is woman owned!)
No gimmicks. No influencer workouts. Just people showing up to learn, train, and get better. The focus is on the craft.
There's a grit to the gym that reminds me why I fell in love with boxing in the first place and you don't have to be a fighter to go!
And as someone who believes boxing is one of the greatest teachers of discipline, resilience, and humility, spaces like this matter.
Why it's in my rotation: My coach: Jeremiah Maestre. HUGE Gym. Staying connected to the roots of boxing.
Best for: People who want to actually learn boxing, not just do a boxing-inspired workout.

5. Craft Boxing | Calabasas
Craft sits in a unique lane.
Classes are technical enough for experienced boxers but approachable enough for someone stepping into a boxing gym for the first time.
I go for open gym mainly and there is always space and equipment available. Full sized regulation ring and knowledgeable coaches.
You can tell when a gym values boxing and strength for boxers.
Craft does.
Why it's in my rotation: Clean. Great people. Great equipment and space.
Best for: All levels of boxers and regular gym goers.

Final Thoughts
One thing I've learned over the years is that the best workout isn't the trendiest workout.
It's the one you actually WANT to come back to.
This summer, my training is a mix of strength, boxing, recovery, community, and movement that keeps me feeling strong both physically and mentally.
These five spots each play a different role in that equation.
If you're looking to refresh your own routine, I'd start there.
And if you see me at any of them, come say hi.
